My second popular history book, Fulvia: The Woman Who Broke All the Rules in Ancient Rome, is now available to buy in hardback, trade paperback, e-book, and audiobook format! It was published by Atlantic Books at the beginning of April in the UK and Northern Ireland, and I believe you can also order it from abroad and get it sent out to you. There is an exclusive signed edition available from Waterstones and Blackwell’s, and it was the Hatchard’s Non-fiction Book of the Month, and one of the World of Books Non-fiction Books of the Month in April. I am also signing copies whenever I happen to see them in bookshops, so keep your eyes peeled…

There have been several reviews in British Newspapers, which have been great to see as my previous popular history book, Cleopatra’s Daughter: Egyptian Princess, Roman Prisoner, African Queen didn’t receive any upon its initial publication in the autumn of 2022. So you can see what reviewers at the Sunday Times, Financial Times, and Mail of Sunday had to say about it, should you feel so inclined. While the first two reviews are behind pay walls (*sigh*), I have included images of them below.

I have also recorded a few podcasts: you can hear me talk about Fulvia, Roman women, and Roman history more broadly on History Extra, Partial Historians, Let’s Talk About Myths Baby, and Past Matters should be coming soon. These are available on a variety of platforms (e.g. Apple podcasts, Spotify etc.), so you should be able to find them. And if you would like to see me, you can watch me on a livestream with Flint Dibble on his YouTube channel Archaeology with Flint Dibble. I promise I didn’t say exactly the same things on every podcast!
You may also be able to see me in person at a few events/talks/signings over the summer, but I will have more information on that in due course.
